This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the construction industry who is looking to continue and grow their accounting career. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payable (AP) transactions and providing administrative support while developing industry-specific accounting knowledge and skills. Key Responsibilities Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments Verify invoice accuracy, match purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies Maintain organized AP files and support month-end closing activities Assist with reconciling accounts payable transactions Communicate with vendors regarding billing inquiries or payment status Work collaboratively as a team player, assisting with other areas of the accounting department as needed Qualifications 1-3 years of accounting experience within the construction industry Post-secondary education in accounting, business administration, or a related field Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Understanding of accounting principles (training provided) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to learn and grow within the role Experience with accounting software What We Offer Health, dental, 401(k) with 5% match, vacation Supportive and safety-focused work environment On-the-job training and mentorship Opportunities for professional development
