Description Our manufacturing client in Arlington is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their Inventory Accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AP professional who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The role is a three-month contract paying $23-24/hr. Responsibilities Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently. Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices. Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers. Resolve invoice, purchase order, and payment discrepancies by working with vendors and internal departments. Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate vendor accounts. Review and process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions. Process electronic payments (EFT/ACH) and assist with recurring payment schedules. Calculate and apply applicable sales and use tax. Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations. Maintain organized AP records and ensure confidentiality of financial information. Provide support to the Accounting team and respond to internal inquiries regarding expenses. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience, including invoice coding and batch processing. Manufacturing, inventory, or purchase order-based AP experience is preferred. Experience with three-way matching and vendor reconciliations. Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Pay Details:
