Job Description

C & M Concrete, a family-owned business established in 1978, is a trusted leader in the production of precast concrete products and on-site commercial concrete construction in Kerrville, TX. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Office Manager with a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit, friendly team with a long-standing reputation for quality and reliability. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to the smooth operation of our office.
Responsibilities Accounts Payable:
Maintain accurate vendor accounts, match bills with purchase orders, enter bills into QuickBooks, reconcile invoices, and ensure timely payments to take advantage of discounts.
Accounts Receivable:
Generate daily invoices for products sold, process and post customer payments, respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and statements, and follow up with past due accounts.
Payroll & Human Resources Support:
Provide backup for weekly payroll processing for 70+ employees, assist with certified payroll as needed, and conduct new hire orientation in the absence of the Office Manager.
Customer Service Support:
Answer phones, discuss product offerings, and take orders as needed to support the team. Perform additional office support duties as assigned to ensure efficient operations. Qualifications Experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks or NetSuite. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and customers. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required. Compensation $21/hr $26/hr Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) after 90 days Paid holidays after 90 days Medical and life insurance after 90 days.
