Bookkeeper

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks and experience handling multiple sets of books (such as for different clients, departments, or entities). You will play a key role in supporting financial operations and providing timely, accurate reporting to management and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Record and classify daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, and revenue. Manage multiple sets of books simultaneously, ensuring accurate and organized records for each entity/client. Perform monthly bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews. Process payroll, prepare invoices, track payments, and handle collections. Utilize QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) to maintain ledgers, generate financial reports, and prepare trial balances. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports as needed. Assist with budget preparation, cash flow monitoring, and expense tracking. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records. Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and support audit processes. Collaborate with accountants, managers, and external vendors as required. Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role (2+ years preferred). Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (certification is a plus). Demonstrated experience managing multiple sets of books (e.g., for multiple clients, companies, or projects). Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial reporting. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and other office software. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information. Preferred Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Experience with additional accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online) or payroll systems. Knowledge of tax preparation basics or prior experience supporting year-end closings. $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
