Job Description

Ray Mart is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accounting Assistant to join our corporate team in Temple, Texas . We are a growing management company that has been in business since 1958. This position provides an excellent opportunity to grow within a stable, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. They should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and possess a solid background in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation, with the ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Responsibilities include:
Perform general ledger accounting tasks including journal entries, and reconciliations Process bi-weekly and salaried payroll through ADP for multiple entities Review and reconcile payroll reports and general ledger entries Maintain accuracy in financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls Collaborate with HR to support safety requirements Create and manage reports using Excel and ADP as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree Minimum of 3 years accounting experience Minimum of 3 years payroll experience Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.) ADP Experience Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Must pass background check and drug screening.
