Job Description

SNELLING
is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialists/ Bookkeeper for a respected East Texas organization. This role is responsible for accounts payable processing, reconciliations, payroll support, record keeping, and other accounting-related duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy This Accounts Payable Specialist/ Bookkeeper position will be Temp-to-Hire, meaning that

would be your employer for a certain time period until the company decided to hire. Responsibilities Receive, verify, and process invoices for payment. Research and resolve invoice and vendor statement discrepancies. Reconcile accounts payable activity, financial institution statements, and accounting records. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Assist with payroll processing and related administrative tasks. Compile and organize credit card documentation. Support budget preparation and annual audit activities. Complete special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable and/or bookkeeping experience required. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Associate's degree in Accounting or Business preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Public sector experience is a plus but not required. Compensation & Benefits $45,000 - $55,000 annually , depending on experience and qualifications. Retirement plan with employer contribution. Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
