Job Description
Cache Valley Women's Center is seeking a full-time (4 days/week) qualified Accounts Receivable/Medical Billing Specialist to join our amazing team and contribute to our company's values and work ethic in our busy OB/GYN office. No weekends or major holidays are required. Main job tasks and responsibilities : Counseling patients on payment issues or concerns Researching and resolving coding or billing errors from EOBs Resolving insurance claim denials, including insurance appeals Checking patient insurance eligibility Provide financial and clerical services to ensure timely and accurate payment from patients and third party accounts Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records Communicate daily with patients in person, via phone and email Entering data and other miscellaneous duties as assigned Abide strictly by HIPAA law maintaining confidentiality and only accessing information as needed for job functions. Efficiently communicating with managers, providers, and staff by accurately answering questions and clarifying documentation Qualifications include: Required to work in office. This is not a remote position High school graduate or equivalent Medical billing certificate preferred Minimum (1) year of experience in a medical office Knowledge of managed care payers Knowledge of medical terminology Attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and analytical skills Experience with Excel and Word Must effectively participate as a team member, and also have the ability to work well as an individual.
