As a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), we help businesses streamline operations by handling payroll and tax filings, workers' comp, employee benefits, and accounting, all in one place. One partner. Total back-office support. Behind all of that is a close-knit team that genuinely has each other's backs. We support each other, work through tough issues together, and celebrate the wins as a group. We're hiring a Corporate Bookkeeper to own the books for ABC and our related entities.
This is an in-house role:
you'll be keeping our own books, not managing a roster of clients. That means you need to already know multi-entity corporate bookkeeping. Intercompany transactions, entity-level reconciliations, and a clean month-end close across several sets of books shouldn't be new to you. We'll show you how things work at ABC, but the bookkeeping expertise needs to be yours already. If you love a fully reconciled account and a close that ties out on the first pass, you'll fit right in. What you'll do Maintain the general ledger for multiple related entities with accurate, timely entries Record and reconcile intercompany transactions, due-to/due-from balances, and allocations between entities Own the month-end and year-end close for each entity Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet accounts every month Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Record payroll, benefits, and other recurring journal entries, accruals, and prepaids Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules by entity, plus consolidated reporting Support tax preparation, 1099 filings, and audit or lender requests with organized, well-documented workpapers Assist leadership with budgeting, cash flow tracking, and financial reporting Improve processes that make the books faster, cleaner, and easier to audit Take on additional accounting responsibilities as the company grows Who we're looking for You're the kind of person who can't let an unreconciled account sit. Close enough isn't good enough You're organized enough to keep several sets of books straight without mixing them up You're deadline-driven, and month-end doesn't rattle you You take ownership. You don't wait to be told what's next, because you already know You communicate clearly, and you'll flag a problem early instead of hoping it goes away You treat financial information with discretion and professionalism You like building better systems, not just following the old ones What you have [3+] years of corporate bookkeeping experience managing books for multiple entities (required) Hands-on experience with intercompany transactions and multi-entity month-end close (required) Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (required) Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills Solid understanding of accrual accounting and GAAP Experience preparing financial statements and account reconciliations Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Experience in a PEO, payroll, insurance, or professional services company is a plus
