Job Description

Koons of Culpeper is looking for an organized and dependable Automotive Dealership Accounting Clerk. This is primarily a data-entry and administrative position within our dealership's accounting office—not a traditional corporate controller role. The position involves accurately entering dealership transactions, reviewing paperwork, maintaining accounting schedules, and following up on missing information. Automotive accounting experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who is detail-oriented, comfortable with computers, and able to manage multiple tasks. Responsibilities Enter vehicle deals and accounting information into the dealership system Review paperwork for accuracy and missing documents Post payments, expenses, deposits, and other transactions Maintain accounts receivable and dealership accounting schedules Track vehicle payoffs, funding, money due, and outstanding items Assist with billing, title paperwork, and inventory records Reconcile reports and identify discrepancies Scan, organize, and maintain dealership records Communicate with managers, banks, vendors, and customers when needed Provide general administrative support to the dealership office Qualifications Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy Comfortable working with spreadsheets and computer systems Able to stay organized and meet deadlines Dependable and capable of handling confidential information Automotive dealership or accounting-office experience is preferred Dealer-management-system experience is a plus Basic Excel knowledge is preferred
Pay:
$25.08 - $30.20 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
