Job Description

Bookkeeper Overview:
We are currently seeking a detailed-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have some experience, either with schooling, or a combination of both. They will be responsible for handling client accounts by maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, running payrolls-as well as quarterly filings, making bank deposits, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, as well as assisting with additional duties that may be assigned from time to time. This not a remote position.
Duties/Skills:
  • Utilize QuickBooks Desktop, QBO, or similar software for bookkeeping tasks
  • Perform double-entry bookkeeping to record financial transactions accurately
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Solid background in payroll processing and quarterly filings (state and federal)
  • Ability to file B&O/Excise Tax returns
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of financial concepts
  • Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping principles
  • Previous experience as a clerk or bookkeeper is advantageous
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks
  • Desktop or Online, or similar accounting software
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Experience with payrolls and filings
  • Experience with Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual WaDOR Filings
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
