Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist/Bookkeeping Assistant with a can-do attitude to join our Accounting team. The primary duties of this position will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounts receivable activities, maintaining accurate customer accounts, and helping ensure timely and accurate billing and collections. This position will also provide coverage for other accounting staff, assisting with accounts payable, job costing, and other accounting duties as needs arise. The ideal candidate has a positive mindset and is proactive. They are comfortable working independently while also collaborating to help shape and build efficient, effective processes and workflows. The ideal candidate also knows how to communicate proactively and professionally while staying organized amid shifting priorities. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounts receivable functions for both progress billing and time and materials billing, including invoicing, preparing statements, reconciling accounts, and handling collections. Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances. Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer account questions. Prepare preliminary lien notices. Send lien waivers to appropriate customers. Prepare AR reports and assist with month-end closing activities. Communicate professionally with customers regarding their accounts. Work closely with operations, project management, and accounting staff to resolve billing issues. Provide backup bookkeeping coverage as needed, including accounts payable, job costing, and other routine bookkeeping responsibilities. Qualifications 2+ years of accounts receivable or accounting experience preferred. Construction experience strongly preferred. Plumbing industry experience strongly preferred. QuickBooks Desktop experience strongly preferred. Intermediate Excel skills. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information professionally. Experience with job costing, progress billing, and retainage a plus. Experience with accounts payable and other accounting duties a plus. $23 - $25
Benefits :
