We're looking for an Accounts Receivable Representative to help manage customer accounts, payments, outstanding balances, and insurance claims. If you're detail-oriented, comfortable having conversations about payments, and enjoy solving problems while working with multiple teams, we'd love to meet you.Pay Range:
$22- 26 hourly
DOE Job Type:
Full-Time, this is not a remote position. What Youll Do As an Accounts Receivable Representative, you'll play an important role in keeping Bartlett Roofing's financial operations running smoothly by managing customer payments, following up on outstanding balances, and supporting both our Accounting and Sales teams. Prepare and send customer invoices. Process and deposit customer checks and reconcile customer payments. Maintain accurate ACH and check deposit records. Reconcile expenses and close out jobs once final payment has been received and applied. Monitor outstanding accounts and communicate with Sales personnel regarding overdue balances. Assist the Sales team with customer billing questions and account information. Make daily follow-up calls to customers regarding overdue payments. Contact insurance companies regarding outstanding claims and payment status. Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and payment disputes. Prepare and maintain accurate accounts receivable aging reports. Collaborate with the Accounting department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable. Provide excellent customer service while maintaining positive relationships with customers and insurance carriers. Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency within the accounts receivable function. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable requirements related to accounts receivable. Utilize accounting software to accurately manage customer accounts and payment information. Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Who You Are 1-2 years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, or a related field. 1-2 years of customer service experience. Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. Comfortable working with accounting software and learning new systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across departments. Confident communicating with customers, insurance carriers, and internal teams. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve billing and payment issues professionally. Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
