Bookkeeper (entry level) - Full-Time Grover Electric & Plumbing Supply | Corporate Office Vancouver, WA | Monday-Friday and an occasional weekend if necessary. Grover Electric & Plumbing Supply is seeking a detail-oriented and organized entry level Bookkeeper with room for growth within the Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable department to join our corporate office team in Vancouver, Washington. This entry level full-time position supports a variety of day-to-day accounting functions and may including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), data entry, account reconciliation, customer and vendor account reconciliation, billing, payment processing, bank deposits, and financial record-keeping . The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, accurate, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail and the ability to research and resolve account discrepancies are important to success in this role. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain customer and vendor accounts Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and AR transactions Perform accurate and timely accounting data entry Receive incoming invoices and obtain appropriate approvals Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts Match invoices, packing slips, credit memos, and debit memos Identify and research invoice and billing discrepancies Reconcile and balance accounts Maintain accounts receivable ledgers Prepare customer statements and past-due notices Assist with collections and follow-up on past-due accounts Research and resolve customer billing inquiries Audit and record store sales and return transactions Prepare bank deposits Maintain and update customer account information. Maintain accurate bookkeeping databases, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation Maintain confidentiality of company, customer, and financial information Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent 2-3 years of experience using basic accounting principles Associate degree in accounting or a related field preferred, but not required Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping practices Strong computer and data entry skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage multiple tasks Strong organizational and time-management skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Strong research and record-keeping skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday; possible weekends (rare) Position is based at our Vancouver, WA Corporate Office Why Grover?
