Accounting Specialist - Accounts Payable Vancouver, WA About the
Company and Opportunity:
Our client is a well-established Vancouver-area company looking to add an Accounting Specialist to their team. This is a stable organization with a friendly, down-to-earth accounting team and a role that offers a good mix of independent work and collaboration. The person in this position will primarily focus on Accounts Payable and will have the opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day AP process. Role:
The Accounting Specialist will handle a high volume of Accounts Payable transactions from invoice entry through payment, along with vendor reconciliations, researching discrepancies, and assisting with month-end close. This is a hands-on position for someone who knows AP and enjoys being the person who keeps things moving.
Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of invoices and payments Review invoices for accuracy, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies Respond to vendor questions and resolve payment issues Maintain accurate AP records and files Prepare and process payments Assist with month-end close and AP-related reconciliations Work with other departments to resolve invoice and billing issues Prepare reports and provide general accounting support as needed
What You Bring:
Solid Accounts Payable experience, ideally in a high-volume environment Experience working with an ERP or accounting system Good Excel skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable researching issues and following through to resolution Organized and able to manage multiple priorities Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach Accounting coursework or degree is a plus $58,000 - $65,000 Please email your resume for immediate consideration.
