This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys detail-oriented, process-driven work, takes pride in accuracy and follow-through, and is comfortable solving problems when something doesn't look quite right. Previous accounting or accounts payable experience is not required. We're open to candidates with strong transferable experience who are organized, comfortable learning new processes and systems, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. What You'll Do In this role, you'll help keep our day-to-day financial operations running smoothly by: Processing vendor invoices and payments accurately and on time Reviewing invoices, purchase orders and supporting documentation Maintaining organized and accurate accounts payable records Monitoring outstanding payables and helping resolve invoice or payment discrepancies Communicating with vendors and internal team members to answer questions and gather needed information Assisting with weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual AP reporting and reconciliations Maintaining and reconciling company credit card accounts Supporting company expense reporting processes Maintaining vendor information and documentation, including certificates of insurance Assisting with vendor 1099 reporting What We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you: Have 1-3 years of administrative, financial, operations, customer service or other transferable professional experience Are highly detail-oriented and take pride in getting things right Enjoy routine and structure but are also willing to investigate and problem-solve Have strong follow-through and can manage deadlines and recurring responsibilities Are comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your work Aren't afraid to ask questions or seek clarification Communicate professionally and enjoy working with both vendors and internal team members Are comfortable learning and working in different software systems Accounting or accounts payable experience is helpful, but not required. Schedule & Work Environment This position is based in our Middleton, Wisconsin office and is scheduled for approximately 30-35 hours per week. After completing the initial onboarding and training period, this position has the opportunity to work remotely one day per week. The position is hourly/non-exempt and is eligible for LERDAHL's regular employee benefits.
