Benefits Purpose of Job Position:
The primary purpose of your job position is to ensure the accurate and timely processing and payment of payroll checks in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as directed by the Director of Business Operations.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 1.
Should possess, as a minimum, an Associate Degree or equivalent. 2. Should possess a working knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning payroll administration and general accounting. 3. Previous payroll experience required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS P
ayroll Functions Process the bi-weekly payroll for all personnel for the assigned locations and departments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Print transaction report and verify all information is correct. Print checks and all associated payroll reports. Request all supplemental checks, such as child support, employee savings deposit, and net deposit. Prepare direct deposit. Ensure the completion and maintenance of all required records, filings and reports pertaining to payroll. Complete all monthly, quarterly and yearly reports and filings. Ensures the scheduled deposit of state and federal withholding taxes and the timely preparation of state and federal payroll reports. Maintains quarterly earnings in preparation of W-2's in January. Maintains time and attendance information. Reconciles hours worked to hours paid. Act as the technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems related to payroll with employees. Reviews departmental processes and methods and makes recommendations for efficiency improvements related to payroll. Process all newly hired personnel and all change of status data. Assure that the facility is in compliance with current applicable federal and state employment regulations regarding wages, overtime, work hours, unemployment compensation, etc.
