Our marine operation works with private owners, dealerships, marinas, and industry partners through brokerage, transportation, detailing, maintenance coordination, and related asset services. We are expanding our brokerage operation and looking for a Head of Marine Brokerage who is ready to take an established foundation and aggressively grow listings, transactions, relationships, and market presence. Position Overview MK Asset Management has already completed the administrative and operational setup required to support the brokerage division. This is not a role focused on building paperwork, creating systems, or spending months developing internal processes. The infrastructure is ready. We are looking for someone who wants to get into the market and produce . The Head of Marine Brokerage will focus heavily on developing dealership and marina relationships, acquiring vessel listings, working with private sellers, creating buyer opportunities, closing transactions, and eventually helping expand the brokerage team. You will work directly with company leadership while having significant independence over the day-to-day growth of the brokerage operation. Responsibilities Generate new vessel listings Prospect and develop relationships with private boat owners Build relationships with marine dealerships and marinas Develop referral relationships throughout the marine industry Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-up Manage active sellers and brokerage opportunities Respond to buyer inquiries Coordinate vessel showings and transaction activity Negotiate brokerage opportunities and offers Maintain accurate activity and opportunities within the company CRM Develop new sources of brokerage inventory Maintain strong communication with sellers throughout the listing process Work with company leadership on brokerage growth initiatives Help recruit and develop additional brokers as transaction volume increases Track listings, opportunities, pending transactions, and closed business What Is Already in Place The administrative foundation has already been completed. You will be stepping into an operation with: Established CRM infrastructure Brokerage agreements and documentation Seller intake processes Sales and prospecting scripts Training materials Existing company partnerships and industry relationships Lead-generation systems Marketing resources Existing operational support Established asset-service capabilities Executive support The objective is no longer to build the system. The objective is to use it . Our next Head of Brokerage should be comfortable spending their time prospecting, meeting people, developing relationships, acquiring inventory, working transactions, and creating revenue. Who We Are Looking For This position is best suited for someone who is entrepreneurial, highly self-directed, and comfortable being measured by results. We are especially interested in candidates with backgrounds in: Yacht or boat brokerage Marine dealership sales Boat sales High-ticket sales Business development Dealership relationship development B2B sales Luxury asset sales Sales leadership Existing marine industry relationships are a significant advantage. Qualifications Strong sales and relationship-building ability Comfortable with outbound prospecting Strong follow-up habits Professional communication skills Ability to negotiate high-value transactions Comfortable working independently Experience managing multiple opportunities simultaneously Ability to use a CRM consistently Strong understanding of customer relationship management Marine sales or brokerage experience preferred Previous leadership experience preferred First Priorities The initial focus of the position will be: Develop new vessel inventory Establish relationships with dealerships and marinas Generate private-seller opportunities Build a consistent brokerage pipeline Move qualified listings toward completed transactions Establish repeatable sources of new brokerage opportunities As production grows, the Head of Brokerage will also help expand and develop the brokerage team. Compensation This position uses a performance-based commission compensation structure tied to completed brokerage transactions . There is no guaranteed base salary associated with the position. Full compensation details, commission structure, responsibilities, and expectations will be discussed with qualified candidates during the interview process. Opportunity This role offers substantial autonomy and the opportunity to take leadership over a growing division within MK Asset Management. We are looking for someone who wants to build a serious brokerage operation rather than simply maintain an existing book of business. The right candidate should be comfortable taking ownership, developing relationships, producing transactions, and eventually helping lead additional brokers as the division expands.
