Budget Analyst Salary/Compensation:
Business Grade 06 | BG-06 Tulsa Public Schools' existing salary schedules provide career increment adjustments based on education/experience and/or years of creditable service. Position Summary:
Maintains budget expenditures of grants, tracking all claims and working with state, federal, and district staff as it relates to budgets. Identifies and communicates nuances and trends that are not expected.
Key Functions:
Maintains grant budget expenditures and tracks all claims Reviews expenditure requests for fund availability and permissibility under state and federal law Prepares OCAS accounting journal entries and grant budget revisions Prepares and uploads applications, budgets, and staff allocations to required state/federal systems Provides support for internal and external audits
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling four (4) years
Experience:
Knowledge of state and federal programs as it relates to fiscal requirements to assure proper utilization of program funds Knowledge of the Oklahoma Cost Accounting System (OCAS) coding requirements
Licenses and Certifications:
None required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite Proficient in written and verbal communication Knowledge of fiscal management procedures Must assume responsibility without direct supervision and exercise initiative and judgment Open to change and applies critical thinking while developing solutions based on new guidelines, methods, and technologies Ability to move between independent and collaborative work with ease Ability to create buy-in from people with diverse perspectives and backgrounds for new ideas and approaches Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
