The successful candidate will combine technical financial expertise with exceptional business acumen, sound judgment and strong character. This person must be willing to raise red flags early, speak candidly about risks and emerging issues, and recommend practical solutions—even when the message is difficult. The CFO will bring an enterprise-wide perspective, build credibility across functions and help leadership translate strategy into measurable financial and operational performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Partner with the CEO of North America and Leyton Group CFO to shape and execute the North American financial strategy, operating plan and long-range objectives. Translate business strategy into financial plans, operating metrics, resource-allocation decisions and accountability mechanisms that support profitable, sustainable growth. Develop robust forecasts, scenario models and sensitivity analyses to help leadership anticipate outcomes and make informed decisions. Monitor business performance and proactively identify financial, operational, commercial, regulatory and organizational risks; escalate concerns promptly and recommend solutions. Serve as an independent and credible voice at the leadership table, constructively challenging assumptions and ensuring decisions reflect appropriate financial discipline and risk awareness. Strengthen financial processes, systems, policies and internal controls to improve scalability, accuracy, efficiency and visibility across the North American organization. Oversee working capital, liquidity, capital planning and cash management, maintaining appropriate controls and optimizing the deployment of financial resources. Partner with commercial and operational leaders on pricing, margins, profitability, investment cases, productivity initiatives and performance improvement. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, statutory obligations, corporate policies and Group reporting expectations. Support strategic initiatives, including market expansion, organizational transformation, potential acquisitions or integrations, and other priorities as required. Leadership Profile Exceptional business acumen and the ability to connect financial analysis to commercial and operational realities. High integrity, courage and professional independence; comfortable raising concerns, challenging respectfully and delivering candid advice to senior leaders. Forward-looking and proactive, with the judgment to recognize developing issues before they become material problems. Strategic thinker who is equally willing to engage in operational detail and drive execution. Clear, concise and influential communicator capable of working effectively across North America and with Group leadership in the United Kingdom. Collaborative, pragmatic and solutions-oriented, with the confidence to make decisions and hold others accountable. Resilient and adaptable in a fast-moving, international and growth-oriented environment. Qualifications Significant progressive finance leadership experience, including success as a CFO, divisional CFO, Vice President of Finance or equivalent senior finance executive. Demonstrated experience leading a full finance function within a complex, multi-entity or international organization. Strong command of financial planning and analysis, accounting, controls, cash management, forecasting, executive reporting and performance management. Proven ability to partner with a CEO and executive team while also operating effectively within a global or matrixed reporting structure. Experience supporting growth, transformation, process improvement and organizational scale. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related discipline required; an MBA, CPA, CMA or comparable qualification is preferred.
