Job Description
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) ACCESS Family Care ACCESS Family Care is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. This key leadership role is responsible for the overall financial health, stability, and sustainability of our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), supporting our mission of providing accessible, high-quality healthcare services to underserved communities. Position Overview The CFO serves as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive team, providing financial leadership across all aspects of the organization. Responsibilities include strategic financial planning, budgeting, accounting, revenue cycle management, grants administration, compliance oversight, audit management, and organizational risk management. Key Responsibilities Lead the organization's financial strategy, planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes. Oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, cash management, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and internal controls. Manage revenue cycle operations, including reimbursement, billing, collections, and payer contract analysis. Ensure compliance with FQHC, HRSA, Uniform Guidance, GAAP, Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulatory requirements. Direct grant financial management and reporting for federal, state, and local funding sources. Coordinate annual audits, cost reports, and financial reporting to leadership and the Board. Monitor organizational financial performance and recommend strategies for growth and operational efficiency. Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. 7-10 years of progressive financial management experience. 5+ years in a senior financial leadership role. Healthcare finance experience, preferably within an FQHC, community health center, hospital, or nonprofit healthcare organization. Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, reimbursement, and grants management. Preferred Master's degree (MBA, Finance, Accounting, or related field). CPA, CHFP, or similar healthcare finance certification. Experience with HRSA compliance, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, PPS methodologies, and managed care contracting. Why Join ACCESS Family Care?
