Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Oversees the financials of Slocum Dickson Medical Group, Burrstone Road Associates and New Hartford Medical Supply.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Overview ofSAGE 100
Accounting System including Payroll, Accounts Payable and General Ledger. Preparation of interim financial statements and periodic reporting to Finance Committee and Board of Directors. Responsible for all pension administration including participant loans, payment of benefits and annual employee census. Preparation of Group Distributable income and individual physician gross formula income calculations including interim meetings with physicians to update status of draw, etc. Member of Finance Committee, Building Committee, Retirement Committee, and Board of Directors. Interim tax planning for all individual physicians including periodic adjustments of tax withholdings. Preparation of individual tax returns for most physicians. Preparation of quarterly sales tax returns. Preparation of quarterly payroll tax returns and W-2's at year-end. Preparation of proformas for new ventures and arrange for financing (lease) of new equipment. Overview of cash management system with NBT Bank. May be exposed to hazardous drugs. Attends OSHA training upon initial employee orientation and annually completes an OSHA competency.RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS
Deals with Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Board of Directors President, and all physicians.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor of Science Degree, Accounting; Certified Public Accountant.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires sitting, standing bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 20 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment such as computer, fax, calculators and telephone. Requires normal hearing and vision. $90,000-$136,988 annuallyBenefits
