CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Since 1896, Reed Manufacturing Company has designed and built professional-grade pipe tools, vises, and equipment trusted by plumbers, water utilities, contractors, and industrial operations around the world. Family-owned for more than 125 years, Reed is seeking a strategic, results-driven Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team and help shape the company's next chapter. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will own the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the CFO will play an integral role in shaping financial and operational strategy, defining company performance metrics, and strengthening the systems that support Reed's continued growth. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a finance executive who brings urgency, sound judgment, and a take-charge approach to day-to-day financial operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting & Accounting Own all financial reporting for the company. Manage and oversee the Accounting Department. Tax & Compliance Direct all tax reporting and compliance. Oversee pension reporting and compliance. Oversee 401(k) reporting and compliance. Risk Management & Banking Lead risk management, including property/casualty insurance. Manage banking relationships. Oversee the company's investment portfolio. Human Resources Provide strategic oversight and ultimate accountability for Human Resources, delegating day to-day HR leadership and administration to the Controller. Strategic Planning Contribute to financial and operational strategy as a member of the senior leadership team. Develop and monitor company performance metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance (required). CPA designation (a plus). MBA (a plus). Experience & Knowledge 15+ years of experience as a CFO or in a similarly senior financial leadership role. Manufacturing accounting experience. Data analysis experience. Excellent knowledge of corporate financial and tax law. Direct experience with financial management software and risk management. Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, and related tools). Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems - INFOR (Syteline) CSI10 preferred.
