Fraud Investigator Location:
Panama City with 60% chance of travel

Full-time About the Role We are a growing property management company seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Fraud Investigator to protect our assets, operations, and reputation. This role focuses on identifying, investigating, and stopping both internal and external fraud — including employee theft of equipment or funds and false tenant claims. Key Responsibilities Investigate reports and suspicions of employee theft involving company equipment, tools, cash, or other assets. Examine tenant injury or liability claims to determine legitimacy; gather evidence, interview parties, review documentation, and identify patterns of fraudulent activity. Conduct thorough internal investigations using interviews, surveillance review, document analysis, and financial audits. Develop and implement fraud prevention policies, procedures, and internal controls. Collaborate with property managers, Law inforcement, maintenance staff, legal counsel, and insurance carriers on active cases. Prepare clear investigation reports with findings and recommended actions. Monitor for recurring red flags across properties and recommend process improvements to reduce risk. Maintain strict confidentiality and chain-of-custody standards for all evidence and case files. Qualifications Proven experience in investigations, loss prevention, insurance claims investigation, or law enforcement. Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect inconsistencies in statements, records, and physical evidence. Excellent interview and interrogation techniques. High integrity, discretion, and professional judgment. Ability to write clear, factual reports suitable for internal use or legal proceedings. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Comfortable working independently and handling sensitive or confrontational situations. Preferred Background in Law enforcement, FBI, Private investigator, property management, real estate, insurance adjusting, or corporate security. Knowledge of Florida landlord-tenant law and premises liability basics. Experience with surveillance systems, access control, or digital evidence review.
