Homeowners choose their own licensed contractor and pay no service fee unless their claim is approved — fast, transparent claims are the whole promise. The claims team is the heart of the company. This job, honestly You'll handle a steady stream of inbound calls, many from stressed homeowners with a broken furnace or a leaking water heater. You'll work several software systems at once — our claims portal, email, spreadsheets — often while on the phone. What you'll own Answering inbound calls and guiding homeowners through their claims professionally and warmly Entering new claims and keeping accurate, current notes in our claims portal Gathering documentation from homeowners and technicians to move claims to resolution Pricing out claim costs and submitting approvals to management Explaining claim decisions clearly — including the hard ones What gets you hired here You look for more work when you finish yours — you don't wait to be told You take coaching without taking offense, and you actually change You learn new software fast, and you check the guide before asking the same question twice You stay calm and kind when the caller isn't You own your mistakes You're fast and confident on a computer — typing, juggling tabs, accurate copy-paste, email, spreadsheets — without thinking about it Requirements Reliable attendance, Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, in our Lisle office Strong computer fluency — tested during the interview with a short hands-on exercise Clear written and spoken communication Not required: home warranty, claims, HVAC, or call-center experience. Two short application questions. 2. A 15-minute video call on Google Meet. 3. A 45-minute interview plus a 30-minute hands-on assessment: a short computer skills test and a walk-through of a simple claims scenario. Both the video call and the interview are recorded, so every candidate is evaluated the same way — we will ask for your okay at the start of each. 4. A decision within a few days.
