Job Description

About the Role Green Attic and EcoBuild are growing roofing, construction, and home services companies serving the Chicagoland area. We are hiring a Licensed Roofing Claims Administrartor / Public Adjuster to manage roofing insurance claims, supplements, documentation, homeowner communication, and production handoff. This is not a receptionist role. This is not a basic office assistant role. This role is for someone who understands roofing claims, insurance scopes, supplements, Xactimate estimates, documentation, follow-up, and the pressure of keeping claims moving. An active Illinois Public Adjuster License is required. Do not apply if you do not currently have an active Illinois Public Adjuster License. What You Will Do Manage active roofing insurance claims from approval through production handoff. Review insurance scopes of loss and identify missing roofing line items, code items, documentation gaps, and scope corrections. Prepare, support, and submit roofing supplements with proper documentation, photos, estimates, code references, and supporting details. Communicate with insurance adjusters, homeowners, sales reps, production managers, and field teams. Follow up consistently so claims do not sit untouched, ignored, or "waiting on someone" forever, because apparently gravity is not enough to move paperwork. Track claim status, approvals, supplements, recoverable depreciation, payments, deductibles, mortgage checks, and job readiness. Keep homeowners updated throughout the insurance, supplement, approval, and production process. Help move approved jobs into production by coordinating with sales, scheduling, production, and field teams. Maintain clean records in ClickUp, CRM systems, spreadsheets, claim files, job folders, and customer communication logs. Support revised scopes, change orders, material updates, production notes, and job readiness communication. Identify claim issues early, including missing documentation, delayed approvals, unclear scope items, underpaid line items, and homeowner confusion. Help improve our claims process, follow-up system, supplement templates, checklists, SOPs, and documentation standards. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone organized, confident, persistent, professional, and detail-oriented. The right person can manage multiple active claims at the same time, follow up without being reminded, communicate clearly with homeowners, and support roofing supplements with strong documentation. You should be comfortable reviewing insurance scopes, working with Xactimate estimates, identifying missing roofing items, requesting corrections, and keeping every claim moving forward. You must be able to communicate clearly, document every step, and stay on top of open files until the claim is resolved, approved, paid, and ready for production. Required Experience Active Illinois Public Adjuster License. Experience with roofing claims, restoration claims, insurance supplements, or claims administration. Strong understanding of roofing scopes, insurance estimates, supplements, documentation, and insurance claim workflows. Experience communicating with insurance adjusters and homeowners. Ability to review scopes and identify missing roofing items, code-required items, and documentation gaps. Strong organization and follow-up skills. Comfortable using CRM systems, ClickUp, spreadsheets, email, phone systems, and shared job files. Ability to manage multiple active files at the same time without losing track of details. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work in person in Mount Prospect, IL. Preferred Experience 3+ years of experience in roofing, restoration, insurance claims, public adjusting, or claims administration. Experience using Xactimate. Experience with roofing supplements, code upgrades, ice and water shield, drip edge, starter, ventilation, decking, flashing, permits, gutters, fascia, soffit, and related roofing items. Bilingual English / Spanish is a strong plus. Experience working with roofing sales teams, production managers, estimators, or field crews. Knowledge of Illinois roofing requirements, local code documentation, and insurance supplement support. Experience tracking recoverable depreciation, mortgage checks, deductibles, payments, and production-ready claim files.
