Sentinel Underwriting Review is seeking an experienced field inspector to perform exterior underwriting inspections in Presque Isle, Alpena, Alcona, Oscoda, Montmorency Counties. ~$15-20 per inspection | Flexible | Volume Available This is ideal for someone who has a background in the Real Estate, Construction, Field Service or Insurance or housing industry looking for extra work or someone previously or already performing similar work for another inspection or underwriting company who is looking to add additional supplemental volume for additional income.

Position Overview Pay:

Typical $15-20 per completed inspection

Inspection Type:

~90% exterior-only (drive-by underwriting inspections)

Interior Inspections:

~10% (scheduled with homeowner) Time on

Typically 5-10 minutes for exterior inspections

21-30 days standard (rush orders occasionally available) High-performing inspectors can receive priority assignment volume. Scope of Work These are insurance underwriting condition inspections , not full home inspections.

You will:

Capture required exterior photos (front, rear, sides, roofline, outbuildings, hazards) Identify visible underwriting concerns (roof condition, debris, liability exposures, etc.) Complete a short digital report form Occasionally complete a simple property sketch (many inspectors reference public property records) Schedule homeowner contact for limited interior assignments All reporting is completed digitally through our website.
