Job Description

Westfield Specialty Insurance is seeking a talented and motivated claims professional to join our team. In this role, you will proactively investigate and manage a portfolio of primary and excess Technology Errors & Omissions (E&O) and Media Liability claims, delivering exceptional service and driving effective outcomes. Key Responsibilities Manage and resolve a portfolio of primary and excess technology E&O and media liability claims from inception through resolution. Handle additional claim types as needed, including first-party cyber and third-party privacy and network security liability claims. Deliver exceptional customer service through clear, timely, and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate closely with underwriters, actuaries, brokers, insureds, defense counsel, and senior management to ensure effective claim handling and alignment with business objectives. Represent the company in mediations and settlement conferences, leveraging strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Identify, analyze, and communicate emerging industry trends and claim developments to support strategic decision-making. Ensure full compliance with all applicable statutory regulations and Unfair Claims Practices Acts. Qualifications 3-5 years of claims handling experience in Technology E&O and Media Liability, or relevant legal experience. Candidates with strong Cyber Liability or Professional Liability experience and a demonstrated interest in transitioning into Technology E&O and Media Liability will also be considered. Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred. Prior claims leadership or management experience is a plus. Active adjuster licenses strongly preferred; willingness and ability to obtain required licenses upon employment. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders. Strong analytical, investigative, listening, and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities. Collaborative mindset with a genuine desire to contribute to a high-performing team.
