This role helps enforce state labor laws and supports fair treatment for workers across the Commonwealth. Work involves investigative duties, communication with a variety of people, and careful review of important information. As a Bilingual Labor Law Investigator, you will perform the following duties:Complaint Review:
Receive and evaluate complaints from workers and employersRecord Examination:
Review payroll documents, timecards, and related records for accuracy and complianceInterview Work:
Speak with claimants, employers, and witnesses to gather detailed informationCase Documentation:
Prepare reports, case summaries, and testimony for matters that may move to legal actionPublic Education:
Explain labor laws and requirements to employees, employers, and community groupsSite Visits:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday- Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of technical investigative or construction and trades experience and an associate's degree in a field related to investigative or construction and trades work; or One year of technical investigative or construction and trades experience and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.Additional Requirements:
You must be able to fluently speak and write in Spanish. You must possess and maintain federally compliant identification such as a U.S. Passport, REAL ID, or Military ID. Proof of possession will be needed at the time of a conditional offer of employment. You must live in or be willing to move to the geographic region the Harrisburg District Office covers by date of hire. Expenses will not be paid.Counties include:
Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York. You must demonstrate ability to adhere to the values and ethics of the Department of Labor & Industry. You must demonstrate ability to work with professionalism, discretion, and good work ethic. You must have solid written and verbal communication skills. You must show initiative and problem solving skill. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Experience in conducting investigations or working in construction and trades, business management, financial services, accounting, or conflict resolution An associate's degree or greater, in a field related to investigative work construction and trades, business management, financial services, accounting, or conflict resolution Experience enforcing labor standards or labor and employment laws Experience testifying at administrative or court hearings How toApply:
