ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Claims Management & Resolution Receive, evaluate, and process OS&D claims in a timely and efficient manner. Work with insurance adjusters to gather required documentation (e.g., product value, shipper invoices, salvage returns, inspection reports). Confirm inspections and carrier/insurance arrangements are properly scheduled and approved. Negotiate settlements with carriers and insurance companies to mitigate losses and recover costs. Collaboration & Relationship Management Build and maintain strong working relationships with our sales and operations department. Act as the primary liaison for claim-related inquiries, providing clear communication and status updates to all stakeholders. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with company operations, shared-services policies, and OS&D claim procedures. Stay current on industry regulations, USDA inspections, and survey reports related to claims. Provide recommendations to minimize risk exposure and improve claims processes. Systems & Documentation Accurately record claim details in internal applications. Prepare reports and summaries of claim activity for management review. Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy in claims handling. Identify trends and propose risk management strategies to reduce the frequency and impact of claims.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience selling in the Logistics/Supply Chain industry, strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of claims handling, insurance processes, and transportation industry practices. Proficiency in claims and transportation systems Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Effective negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
