Job Summary Hybrid work schedule available, up to 50% telework depending on business needs. Telework can be outside of the state of Minnesota if the candidate lives in a state bordering Minnesota and lives 50 miles or less from the primary work location. The position will review and analyze documentation submitted by individuals/businesses based on Minnesota Statutes, rules, policy, and procedures to either approve, request further documentation, or deny claims. The claims review is complex and comprehensive with many different property and claim types. A large portion of this position is fraud investigation, detection, and prevention. The incumbent must be aware of potential fraud, remain professionally skeptical of fraud, investigate potential fraud, and report it to their supervisor for further review. A successful incumbent in this position will be able to: Review and analyze claim submissions to determine whether the claimant has provided the necessary documentation to prove ownership. Maintain confidentially with the review of legal documents and systems pertinent to each claim. Prepare and send accurate correspondence to the claimants, which include individuals, businesses, state agencies and other stakeholders. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications One (1) year of experience performing analysis, exercising judgment, and applying knowledge related to legal documentation, claims, applications, or eligibility determination. OR Three (3) years of experience in work that supports or involves legal documentation, claims, applications, eligibility processes, or similar program functions. Applicants who meet the above experience requirement will be further evaluated based on the following: Demonstrated experience managing high-volume workloads with strong organizational and written communication skills. Experience handling sensitive or confidential information while maintaining objectivity and compliance with applicable requirements. Computer skills to effectively navigate various software and programs. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with unclaimed property. Professional reviewing and identifying fraudulent and/or counterfeit documentation. Experience with various financial instruments including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, life insurance productions and other banking products. Physical Requirements Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
