Job Description

JOB DECSRIPTION
: As a member of our claims team, you will manage workers' compensation claims for self-insured employers. You will make three-point contacts, authorize payment of medical bills, communicate with the employer and the injured worker, make indemnity payments, report to excess carriers, set reserves and be responsible for all areas of managing a lost time or litigated claim. Attention to detail and customer service are extremely important. We provide clerical support-claims assistants as well as EDI assistance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or above educational requirement. Applicant MUST have workers' compensation adjuster's license. At least 5 years of experience in managing lost time/litigated claims with self-insured or large deductible clients. Experience handling presumption claims is a plus. Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, make sound decisions and focus on details a must. Applicant should have strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
SALARY & BENEFITS
Position may be on site in Ocala, FL or in the Tampa Westshore district with office hours of 8:30 to 4:30. Salary is negotiable. Group health, dental, life insurance, long term disability, 401k, vacation and stress days are available as well as the ability to work from home after training and probation period.
