Job Description

Position Summary The Legal Compliance Administrator will serve as the primary coordinator for regulatory compliance across our residential portfolio. This individual will work closely with ownership, attorneys, property managers, government agencies, and contractors to ensure timely compliance with all applicable affordable housing programs, HPD requirements, court stipulations, and regulatory deadlines. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and possesses a strong understanding of New York City's affordable housing and regulatory landscape. Primary Responsibilities Manage regulatory compliance for a portfolio of residential properties participating in various affordable housing programs. Coordinate compliance with HPD, HCR, DHCR, DOB, ECB/OATH, FDNY, DEP, and other governmental agencies. Track, monitor, and coordinate the removal of HPD Class A, B, and C violations. Prepare and maintain documentation required for HPD violation certifications and dismissals. Coordinate inspections with tenants, superintendents, contractors, and inspectors. Maintain calendars for regulatory deadlines, compliance reporting, inspections, certifications, and court-required milestones. Preferred Qualifications Experience with NYC Housing Preservation & Development (HPD). Familiarity with Housing Court litigation and compliance. Experience removing HPD violations and coordinating certifications. Experience working with affordable housing compliance monitoring agencies. Knowledge of Section 8, LIHTC, Article XI, HDC financing, Section 610 and regulatory reporting. Experience coordinating with attorneys during litigation or compliance proceedings. Notary Public certification is a plus.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
