A Compliance Manager tracks employer compliance with laws and regulations, particularly for organizations in business and health care. Creates company policies, reviews departmental functions and protocol, follows developments in law and regulations affecting the industry
Full-time The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with applicable regulations, identifying and documenting regulatory risks, and developing effective controls. This role plans, organizes, and executes day-to-day compliance activities while helping maintain a robust compliance framework. The Compliance Manager partners with business units to remediate identified issues, provides guidance on control deficiencies, and supports the development of effective remediation plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Define and maintain the required level of knowledge regarding existing and emerging regulatory compliance requirements across the organization. 2. Maintaining a database of all policies and procedures as it applies to compliance. 3. Develop the annual compliance work plan that reflects the organization's unique characteristics; revise the plan promptly when internal, state, or federal changes occur. 4. Overseeing and monitoring the implementation of the compliance program. 5. Provide guidance, advice, training, and educational programs to improve organizational understanding of applicable laws and regulatory requirements. 6. Coordinate internal compliance reviews and audits, including a schedule of periodic reviews of each department. 7. Facilitate annual regulatory risk assessments and provide senior management with recommendations based on the results. 8. Track identified exceptions or deficiencies, recommend remediation actions, and collaborate with business units to ensure timely completion. 9. Facilitate and assist in all regulatory and certification audits.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Strong leadership and influencing skills. Demonstrated knowledge of legal/regulatory requirements and internal controls. Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening (negative result required). Must successfully complete local and state criminal background checks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. 2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, internal audit, or regulatory affairs. 3. Professional certifications such as CIA, CCEP, CHC, or other internal auditing credentials. 4. Knowledge of DODD, CARF, and DOT regulations. 5. Experience developing compliance work plans, conducting risk assessments, and supporting external audits.

$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
