Job Description
You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client is seeking a Director of Risk Management to oversee the organization's compliance program, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. The role involves collaborating with the senior leadership team to develop compliance strategies and promoting a culture of integrity and ethical conduct. This position requires strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of compliance and ethics. Key Responsibilities Oversee the organization's compliance program. Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop compliance strategies. Promote a culture of integrity and ethical conduct. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in a healthcare environment doing compliance. Bachelor's degree OR an Associate's degree with acquired business experience. Deep expertise in HIPAA and healthcare laws. Strong data analysis and clear communication for training staff. Incident investigation and strategic crisis management skills. Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO), or other nationally recognized accreditation in compliance preferred. Previous FQHC experience preferred. Skills Data analysis Clear communication Incident investigation Strategic crisis management Additional Requirements Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Onsite presence required for compliance rounding at clinics and monthly board meetings. Initially, maybe 1 day per week remote work is possible. Building relationships at the clinic level is essential. Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
