Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented DOT Compliance Administrator to ensure our transportation operations meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards. In this vital role, you will oversee compliance management across logistics and freight activities, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations including
OSHA, FDA
regulations, and international trade laws. Your expertise will help streamline supply chain processes, mitigate risks, and uphold the highest standards of transportation safety and regulatory compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment while supporting global trade management efforts. Responsibilities Manage and monitor compliance with DOT regulations, including hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and driver qualification files. Oversee freight documentation, customs brokerage management, and customs clearance processes to ensure seamless import/export operations. Maintain accurate records using Excel data analysis tools and global trade management software for regulatory reporting and audit readiness. Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure transportation safety regulations are followed across all modes of freight movement. Stay current on international trade regulations, export management policies, and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) guidelines to prevent violations. Conduct risk assessments related to supply chain disruptions, regulatory compliance management, and transportation safety. Prepare detailed reports on compliance status, incident investigations, and regulatory updates for senior management. Qualifications Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management with a focus on regulatory compliance. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, FDA regulations, customs regulations, and international trade laws. Technical proficiency in office software such as Excel for data analysis and report writing. Familiarity with global trade management software systems used for customs clearance and compliance tracking. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in freight operations, import/export procedures, and customs brokerage management is highly desirable. Knowledge of transportation safety regulations and risk management practices related to logistics operations.
