NERC Compliance Manager Location:
Chesapeake, VA area
Schedule:
Mon-Friday in office
Pay:
$110,000-$155,000 + 15% annual bonus + full-time benefits (401k w/ match, health, dental, vision, life insurance, etc.) Why work here: This is position will oversee a brand new site bringing them online. Job Description:
The NERC Compliance Manager ensures that generation facilities comply with mandatory federal and regional reliability standards. Key responsibilities include managing compliance documentation, coordinating regulatory audits, and conducting gap analyses. Core Responsibilities Build evidence packages, complete Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAWs), and host mock or official regional audits. Evaluate plant processes and data to spot compliance risks or system deficiencies before regulators do. Create and update internal policies, procedures, and internal controls for Operations & Planning (O&P) or Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards. Educate plant staff, engineering teams, and contractors on interpreting new or updated reliability rules. Qualifications & Requirements Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience. 3 to 8 years working in power plant operations, electrical systems, or regulatory compliance. Deep understanding of
NERC/FERC
rules, relay protection principles, and asset management. Strong technical writing, data analysis, and cross-functional communication abilities. #ENG1
