Insurance / Compliance Coordinator (Entry-to-Junior Level) (2425)

JOB PURPOSE

To manage the insurance procurement and renewal process for the company's vendors.



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and maintaining vendor certificates of insurance for the company's vendors
  • Review vendor insurance certificates of insurance and advise on any corrections necessary to comply with company policies
  • Monitor upcoming vendor insurance expirations
  • Work with local purchasing departments to ensure continuous compliance
  • Engage with vendor insurance agents in furtherance of determining compliance
  • Perform annual and quarterly trend reports and present findings to management
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and Skills

  • Beginning-to-intermediate knowledge of insurance policies preferred but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to work with individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Solid organizational and project-management skills
  • Ability to gather and analyze information from multiple sources
  • Flexible and able to multi-task and establish priorities; can work within a fast-moving environment
  • Willingness to communicate by phone and email for majority of the workday
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and business-related software
  • Valid driver's license or other identification Education & Work Experience
  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Two years of experience with insurance products and compliance is preferred
  • Prior homebuilding industry experience preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily on residential construction sites and standard office environments. The noise level in the office environment is usually moderate. The noise level on a construction site will be high, hearing protection will be necessary and provided by the company. Occasional travel to various worksites will be required, depending on assignment.
