JOB DESCRIPTION

Beard Transport is a fast growing, family business that specializes in providing transportation services to its customers throughout the United States. We are currently looking for a Carrier Compliance Specialist to join our fast-paced, competitive transportation company. This position serves as a critical pre-pickup verification checkpoint for every shipment. The specialist communicates directly with drivers before pickup to confirm carrier identity, driver information, shipment instructions, equipment requirements, safety expectations, pickup details and ETA. The position plays an important role in preventing freight fraud, identifying discrepancies before freight is released, improving driver communication, and supporting safe and reliable transportation. • Communicate with drivers via text/email/call to set clear expectations for each shipment & verify our standards are being met
• Communicate with shippers and receivers to set pick up/drop off times and ensure shipments are prepared for transportation
• Utilize transportation management software and other tools to track shipments
• Collect and organize documentation
• Solve problems by creating effective solutions and communicating these scenarios with the operations team and trucking companies to produce positive outcomes
• Maintain neat organization of records on computer so information can be easily accessed
• Providing general assistance to the operations team to assist with providing the best service possible and aiding the growth of the company

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Great work ethic and sense of urgency
• Open and willing to learn
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word, computer savvy
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Logistics/transportation/safety experience preferred
• College degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred

Pay:

$35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
