Position Overview Neighbor Links is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Medical Compliance Coordinator to join our team in Cleveland, TN. This is primarily an in-office position (Monday through Friday) responsible for overseeing client health administration, tracking medical schedules, managing medication delivery compliance, writing monthly reviews, and serving as the primary liaison between healthcare providers, pharmacies, families, and our direct support team.Travel Requirement:
While based in our Cleveland office, this position requires local travel approximately 1 day per month to perform home visits for medication storage audits, spot-check safety standards, and occasionally accompany individuals to key medical appointments.Key Responsibilities Healthcare & Appointment Oversight:
Schedule, track, and log all routine, annual (physicals, dental, vision), quarterly, and specialist medical visits for individuals supported by Neighbor Links.Medication Administration & Record Compliance:
Audit Medication Administration Records (MARs/eMARs) in Therap, manage regular pharmacy deliveries, and verify that every active and PRN medication has a signed physician order and up-to-date side-effect sheet attached. Monthly Field Audits (1x/Month): Conduct monthly home visits to perform medication storage checks, audit client medical binders, and ensure compliance with agency and state safety standards.Monthly Reviews:
Write comprehensive Monthly Medical Reviews summarizing individual health updates, appointment outcomes, and medication changes for support coordinators and agency leadership.Communication & Advocacy:
Act as the main healthcare liaison between physicians, pharmacies, families, and internal staff to ensure individual healthcare needs and choices are honored and met.Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of experience in non-medical home care, residential support, or developmental disability services involving MAR administration, physician orders, or care coordination.Technical & System Skills:
Experience with Electronic Health Records / Therap system preferred; high level of attention to detail regarding medical documentation and HIPAA rules.Key Traits:
Strong organizational capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication, and a passion for supporting adults with disabilities and seniors to live independently.Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred). Valid Driver's License, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance (for required monthly home visits). Ability to pass standard background checks and drug screenings.
