Job Description The Peninsula Community Care Center provides Residential and Community Engagement Services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Newport News, VA. We are excited to welcome the role of Quality Compliance Specialist. Our organization effectively meets the needs of the individuals we serve through a person-centered approach and positive relationships with our community members. We are small and able to meet the needs of our individuals and give them our person centered attention. We are small serving 4 residentials individuals and 7 community engagement individuals. We have a staff of 10. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who is passionate about, quality improvement and compliance. This role has the potential to develop into a greater impact leadership position. In this role, you will play an important part with a team of seasoned professionals in helping The Peninsula Community Care Center maintain the highest standards of quality, integrity, and regulatory compliance. Job Duties Job Responsibilities Plan, develop and organize documents for audits for quality reviews and licensing. Conduct and update quality reviews of individuals records to ensure compliance. Prepare, plan for and attend all licensing, QSR and QMR audits. Effectively communicate with support coordinators, licensing , families and other stakeholders n a positive professional manner. Awareness, understanding and alignment of DBHDS regulations and alignment with policy and procedures. Plan, attend and participate in ISP planning meetings in a timely manner and enter required documentation into WAMS platform in a timely manner to prevent gaps in service. Provide ongoing staff training as needed to meet regulatory requirements. Schedule required trainings for staff so there are no gaps in certification. . Review and enter Person-Centered quarterly reports that are in compliance with the ISP and regulatory requirements and enter in a timely manner into WAMS. Attend meetings with leadership team and trainings offered to ensure compliance for the organization. Knowledge and understanding of serious incident reporting. Ability to work in the WAMS, CONNECT and Desktop platforms to ensure continued compliance and monitoring. Complete DSP Health competencies for staff and participate in staff improvement plans when needed. Ability to work with a team and communicate continuously across various platforms to ensure continuity. WAMS-reviewing and entering person centered quarterly reports. Assist with performance improvement initiatives, including data integrity, fraud prevention, process efficiencies, and researching and analyzing data for quality purposes. Assist with compliance, documentation, and quality trends to help strengthen services and outcomes. Assist with monitoring performance measures to ensure targets for access, productivity, and service delivery standards are achieved. Collaborate with staff to promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Represent The Peninsula Community Care Center in a professional and positive way to all stakeholders and community members. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Schedule Monday, Wednesday and Friday (24 hours per week) Qualifications Skills Ability to understand and apply policies related to programs and services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong ability to prioritize, take initiative, manage time effectively, and work consistently and independently. Ability to learn and apply quality improvement tools and techniques. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and use information to support quality improvement.
Qualifications:
Five years of successful work experience with individuals with developmental disabilities. Three years of successful work experience in a leadership role. Valid driver's license is required. Bachelor's Degree or higher in a human services field, healthcare, education or analytical or regulatory field preferred. (Associates degree will be considered) DMV record must be submitted with application.
