We are seeking team members capable of servant leadership. The Ministry Since 2002, PIN Ministry has served as a support center for the unsheltered homeless and poorest of the poor. Our objective is to alleviate human suffering and create a pathway out of poverty. We believe a holistic approach is needed to restore mind, body, and spirit. Our hope is to make today better, but our goal is to change their tomorrow—and ultimately, as a Christian Ministry, their eternity. We serve 1,400+ adults annually with day support (showers, clothing, laundry, meals), a dynamic substance abuse program, behavioral health counseling, workforce development, GED & Literacy, and a coaching model of case management focused on economic mobility and overall well-being. Each winter we also operate an emergency winter shelter program, a cold weather seasonal shelter, in partnership with local churches. This is street-level ministry. We meet people in crisis and extreme poverty where they are. We love them, serve them, walk with them, and provide opportunity for transformation. Job Summary Assists in coordinating PIN's grants and contracts process, highly engaged with PIN's various teams and comprehensive wrap around services, including day support, integrated medical and behavioral health, substance use recovery, workforce development, and education. The role will proactively identify and execute ideas to improve operations and streamline PIN's grant-making processes, supports grant administration, proposal development, grant compliance, data quality, billing, reporting, and project implementation. Responsibilities include researching funding opportunities, maintaining the grants calendar and tracking systems, monitoring deadlines, deliverables, expenditures, and preparing grant applications, reports, and supporting documentation. Taking a macro approach to human services, this role help will help create and maintain programs and systems that directly impact hurting and lost people. It's here where we serve the many rather than just the one. You will influence policy, conduct research, analyze programs, advocate for the least among us for systemic change. You should be comfortable with data, resource coordination, and writing. You will help process intakes for services and contracted programs integrating the data into in-house case management software and HMIS (HUD's Homeless Management Information System). You will maintain HMIS Data quality, entries and exits, and annual audits. At PIN, our philosophy is that everyone does everything and as a ministry, we are here to serve. We believe in filling a hole or standing in the gap for whatever part of the ministry needs us. Additionally, you will have regular interaction and opportunities working with homeless men and women across all of our programing to have a direct impact on the lives of others as well as the system that serves them. Primary Duties Support management in the administration of programs and grant projects. Process billing for foundation and federal grant funds. Conduct client intakes for shelter or housing programming. Maintaining organization's HMIS and internal software data quality. Support programs and Advocates with minimal client benefit applications. Tracking incoming and existing grants to support key program outcomes and grant performance measures. Maintaining a grant schedule and helping with grant applications, drafts, or research. Participate in team meetings, case conferencing, and continuous improvement of coaching practices and tools. Qualifications & Experience Preferred Attributes High school diploma or equivalent required with 2 years established work history in field; or associate's or bachelor's degree in human services, social work, counseling, or related field preferred. Experience working with people experiencing homelessness, poverty, or substance use preferred. Strong organizational skills and comfort with documentation and data tracking. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, street-level environment. Valid Virginia driver's license and safe driving history. Ability to learn and navigate case management or healthcare software, including proficiency with Microsoft Office. Human services, case management, workforce development, or peer support experience highly valued. A servant's heart and a genuine love for lost or broken people. Patience, persistence, and the ability to hold people accountable with kindness. Willingness to learn a new or different approach to social work and poverty alleviation. Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic ministry setting.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
