This role is focused on managing complex, late-stage delinquency portfolios with an emphasis on asset preservation, recovery strategies, repossessions, loss mitigation, and negotiations . The ideal candidate brings a strong background in asset-based collections , understands how to maximize recovery outcomes, and is comfortable making judgment calls regarding workouts, payment arrangements, skip tracing strategies, and repossession activity. Key Responsibilities for the Senior Debt & Asset Recovery Specialist Manage a portfolio of highly delinquent asset-based accounts Develop and execute recovery strategies to maximize asset recovery and minimize losses Conduct advanced skip tracing to locate borrowers, collateral, and assets Utilize TLO, CLEAR, and other investigative tools to support recovery efforts Manage escalated customer situations and difficult negotiations Monitor KPIs including recovery rates, cycle times, and portfolio performance Document account actions, recommendations, and recovery outcomes Qualifications for the
Senior Debt & Asset Recovery Specialist Required:
5+ years of experience in asset recovery, repossessions, loss mitigation, or late-stage collections Strong understanding of secured collateral and asset-based lending environments Advanced skip tracing experience Hands-on experience using TLO and/or CLEAR Experience evaluating repossession, recovery, and workout strategies Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills Ability to manage a high-volume portfolio while maintaining attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly
Excel Preferred:
Consumer finance, equipment finance, automotive finance, or asset-based lending experience Recovery leadership or mentoring experience Experience with portfolio analytics and recovery performance metrics EB-1398108225
