Are you looking for a flexible, part-time role in a quiet, well-managed financial environment? We are partnering with a small, in-house credit union serving employees and families within a closed membership group. This part-time Credit Union Manager role oversees daily operations, compliance, lending, and member service while working closely with a co-manager, volunteer board members, and vendors. This position offers a collaborative environment, flexible scheduling, and the potential to transition into a long-term role.
Position Details, Pay, & Schedule:
Temp-to-hire, part-time opportunity (minimum 20 hours per week) Flexible schedule within operating hours of 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM, with shared coverage responsibilities Ability to adjust schedule in coordination with co-manager as needed Hourly pay range: $25-$35+, depending on experience No benefits offered Training provided with a flexible onboarding timeline based on candidate readiness
Work Environment:
Secure systems with offline banking software
Essential Job Duties:
Oversee daily credit union operations including member transactions, cash handling, and account balancing Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, including NCUA requirements Serve as Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer and oversee security and cash controls Prepare monthly reports and support Board of Directors meetings Process and close consumer and auto loans while ensuring proper documentation and compliance Monitor loan activity and delinquencies and take appropriate follow-up action Maintain general ledger activity, manual payroll, quarterly filings, and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s) Coordinate with third-party software and IT vendors for system support Deliver high-level member service and address account inquiries Partner with another manager to cross-check work and ensure accuracy
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of experience in banking, credit union operations, accounting, or financial services in a Management role required. Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask independently Comfort working with Excel-based tracking, general ledger balancing, and manual processes Clear communication skills and a professional, service-oriented approach Working knowledge of Microsoft tools including Excel and SharePoint
