Job Description
- Overview:
- Processes and supports Letter of Credit transactions in adherence to ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) guidelines to minimize risk to the Bank.
- Primary Responsibilities:
- + Process amendments of Commercial and/or Performance/Financial Standby Letters of Credit for customers in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Provide cross-training assistance for less experienced staff; provide management feedback on progress of cross-training efforts.
+ Participate as a member of letter of credit project teams as required.
+ Identify fraudulently presented items through use of International Trade Finance (ITF) policies, procedures and controls.
+ Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
+ Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
+ Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
+ Complete other related duties as assigned.

- Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 3 years' work experience Strong customer service skills Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Education and Experience Preferred:
- International Trade Operations experience Commercial lending experience Knowledge of pertinent Bank systems
- Physical Requirements:
- N/A M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $25.07 - $41.79 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
