Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting members of the Seminole Tribe of Florida with obtaining housing and residential project-related loans. Under general supervision, the individual performs professional duties in fostering a responsive homeownership program with the STOF Real Estate Department. The incumbent originates and refinances mortgage loans through various direct and Housing and Urban Development (HUD) loan guarantee programs. The individual reviews home loan applications to ensure applicants meet necessary lending criteria based upon various products offered while complying with both Lender guidelines and Tribal Government Law, Ordinances, Polices and Regulations. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or closely related field is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in housing programs, finance, banking, real estate development and processing or closing mortgage loans is required; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Must have and maintain the HUD Certified Housing Counselor certification. Licensed Florida Notary is required. Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and Housing and Urban Development (HUD)/VA loan guidelines is required. The incumbent must understand the mortgage loan process through closing. Demonstrate computer literacy in Microsoft Office software programs. Demonstrate excellent English written and verbal skills. Must have a valid Florida Driver's License and be able to travel to all STOF Reservations.
