$24.00/hr + uncapped commission + performance bonuses About the Role Starpoint Resorts is launching a brand-new Reinstatement Recovery Department, and we're looking for driven, empathetic Reinstatement Recovery Specialists to help us build it from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to shape a department's playbook rather than step into someone else's — you'll help define the methodologies, scripts, and strategies that become the foundation of how we operate going forward. You'll work with members who are 90+ days delinquent on their vacation club loan and dues — members who once wanted this membership but hit a bump in the road (job loss, medical bills, unexpected expenses) that got in the way of their payments. Your job isn't just to collect a debt — it's to reconnect these members with the value they originally signed up for, and guide them back into good standing as revitalized, refreshed members. This is a high-impact, high-reward role for someone who's persistent, resourceful, and excited to build something new rather than follow an existing script. What You'll Do Join as a founding member of the Reinstatement Recovery Department, helping shape its processes from day one Manage a portfolio of accounts 90+ days delinquent, reaching out via phone, email, and other channels Rebuild rapport with members and understand the "why" behind their delinquency Present and negotiate reinstatement options, settlement terms, and payment plans that work for both the member and the company Test, refine, and document methodologies for reactivating stalled or defaulted accounts — your results help write the department's playbook Track outcomes and contribute to evolving best practices as the program matures Meet and exceed monthly recovery and reinstatement targets Maintain accurate records of member interactions and payment arrangements Stay current on compliance requirements for debt collection and settlement communications What We're Looking For Prior experience in debt collections, loan recovery, debt settlement, or a related credit/collections role (vacation ownership or timeshare experience a plus) Comfortable operating with some ambiguity — this is a new department, so processes will evolve as we go Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills Comfortable with high call volume and performance metrics Empathetic communicator who can build trust quickly with people under financial stress Self-motivated with a competitive drive to hit commission targets Familiarity with collections regulations (FDCPA or applicable state regulations) preferred What We Offer Uncapped commission on reinstated/recovered accounts Monthly and quarterly bonus opportunities Ground-floor growth potential — early team members are well-positioned for leadership roles as the department scales Ongoing training on reinstatement and recovery methodologies and negotiation techniques
