Job Description

Import Manager Rancho Domiguez, CA The important qualification is the Customs Broker License. Salary range will be up to 100K (70K - 100K), depending on their experience Must have a Customs Broker License 5+ years of experience in import operations or logistics management Strong understanding of customs regulations, tariffs and international trade compliance Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; great attention to detail Responsibilities Manage end-to-end import processes including customs clearance, documentation, and compliance with international trade regulations. Coordinate transportation planning and shipping logistics across multiple modes such as air freight, sea freight (NVOCC), and land transport. Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, 3PL providers, and other logistics partners to negotiate rates and optimize service levels. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and CRM software to track shipments, update clients, and generate reports. Lead client communication efforts by providing timely updates on shipment status, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring excellent customer service. Oversee account management activities including lead generation, inside sales, and client relationship management to expand business opportunities. Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, including trade documentation accuracy and adherence to customs procedures. Requirements Proven experience in logistics company operations with a focus on import/export processes. Strong knowledge of supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), freight brokerage, and shipping logistics. Familiarity with NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations, air freight procedures, and trade compliance standards. Excellent negotiation skills paired with customer service expertise to foster long-term client relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) along with CRM software for data entry and lead management. Ability to coordinate transportation planning activities efficiently while managing multiple stakeholders.
