OVERVIEW

The Licensed Customs Broker must have 5 years of relevant import/export experience and currently hold an active US license as a customs broker. Packair Airfreight Inc. is an International Freight Forwarder based in Gardena.

We are currently seeking a full time Licensed Customs Broker to join our growing team at our Gardena, CA location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides customers tariff classification, valuation, marking, general customs and other government agency Compliance and Sales activities working with new clients Guides customers through CBP requirements and processes by preparing and submitting documents, determining tariff and duty payments, and tracking shipments Classifies shipments, inputs data, and makes corrections and adjustments Resolves customer problems promptly, professionally and in compliance with the law Provides guidance to importers to help them understand and meet CBP and other government agency rules and regulations Participate in cross selling opportunities. Discusses and sells our various services to current clients.

Processes post entry work including:

ruling requests, CF 28's, refunds, protests, and drawbacks Prepares and executes billings for entry related services Works with CBP to resolve problems Works within the department to ensure all transactions are processed on a daily basis Stays up-to-date on customs and other government agency changes Performs additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS
