In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting accurate customs entries to ensure seamless clearance of goods across international borders. Your expertise in customs regulations, trade compliance, and regulatory reporting will be vital in maintaining compliance with global trade laws and safeguarding our supply chain operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to efficient freight movement while ensuring adherence to all relevant customs and transportation safety regulations. Duties Prepare and process customs entries using global trade management software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations. Review shipment documentation for completeness and correctness, including invoices, bills of lading, and export/import permits. Collaborate with freight carriers, customs authorities, and internal teams to facilitate timely customs clearance and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Review and verify import documentation to initiate file opening, ISF and entry processing Timely and accurate ISF filing, entry filling and PGA filing Monitor entries for release from all government agencies Coordinate exams with CES and clients Coordinate delivery with clients and truckers Accurate and timely billing Process payments to vendors Resolve billing disputes Ensure proper HTS is used for all entries as provided by clients Provide friendly customer service Communicate effectively with clients and vendor Assist team members Work proactively to expand customs knowledge and advance classification skills to ensure progression to Entry Writer II position Requirements Minimum 1-2 years experience as an entry writer CargoWise experience preferred Basic knowledge of the HTS Basic Knowledge of FTA's and documentation requirements Basic knowledge of ADD/CVD General knowledge of Customs Regulations Abillity to read and understand
