Job Description Our client, a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a Customs Analyst to support import/export compliance and trade operations in Spartanburg, SC. This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs regulations, managing documentation, and supporting cross-functional teams with duty optimization and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of customs regulations, HTS classification, and experience in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and import/export requirements

Perform and maintain accurate HTS classification, valuation, and country-of-origin determinations

Review and validate shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, transport documents)

Collaborate with customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely declarations

Manage import/export documentation, including USMCA certificates and origin documentation

Prepare and track filings within CBP systems (ACE portal)

Support duty optimization strategies, including tariff programs and trade agreements

Conduct post-entry corrections and support compliance audits

Partner with supply chain, purchasing, and logistics teams on customs-related activities

Provide reporting and analysis to support business decisions and compliance initiatives

Support continuous improvement and ensure adherence to IATF 16949 and

ISO 14001

standards

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in customs compliance, import/export, or related role

Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, and trade compliance

Experience with CBP systems (ACE portal) and ABI filing preferred

Experience in the automotive industry Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)

Customs Broker License preferred but not required

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
